The Connect Smart Home Garage Door opener is compatible with Voice activation from Google and Alexa (Amazon). We recommend the following tips to ensure your garage door opening function remains secure and safe:
How to enhance the safety of the voice activation feature
• Strongly recommend installing the sensor for enhanced activity monitoring.
• Recommend placing your Google device away from the window
or anywhere that an intruder can access and lower the microphone sensitivity to limit voice command access. especially from outside the home.
• Set-up 'voice match' for Google Home voice activation. This will make your Google device only listen to the registered voice.
• For Google Home. consider enabling PIN within the Connect SmartHome app for additional security. For Alexa. use Alexa PIN.
• Rename your garage door as something else which cannot be easily guessed. (Example) 'Hey Google. open the cave stone'
